We’ve all been there, lying with our heads on our pillow after a long exhausting day – wide awake, unable to fall asleep.
Luckily, there’s a scientifically-backed sleep hack that will help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Here’s how…
A recent study on the impact of bedroom ventilation on our quality of sleep was conducted by monitoring a group of healthy young adults, who slept over a five-night period. The study revealed participants that slept with their bedroom door open experienced better quality and lengthier sleep than those who slept with the door closed.
The trick is, when you keep your bedroom door open, you increase the ventilation in your room, and in some cases this can help soothe you into a good night’s sleep.
According to the study, keeping the bedroom door open caused a slight decrease in room temperature to about 67 degrees Fahrenheit, right in line with the recommended room temperatures for the best possible sleep – between 65 and 68 degrees.
Can’t sleep? Just crack your bedroom door open and invite some Zzz’s in.
